James Douglas Henry

I am seeing this Podcast for the first time today (1/8/2021). It was well known at the time that Cleo Hill’s career was killed by his teammates, Bob Petit and Clyde Lovellette. Petit, an LSU graduate, was a perennial scoring leader. Lovellette was a well-travelled player but probably was number 2 behind Petit with the Hawks. Cleo Hill’s play devalued Petit and Lovellette as Hawks and made their play (set shots, for example) look dull. I don’t know whether they were racist or not but I bet you they did not refer to Cleo by his name, as teammate, gentleman or any other positive name.
